Domesticbook
Design: 2013
Client: Domesticbook
Web discontinued
This passionate Catalan startup created an online platform where users joined in to connect with brands. Interesting content from around the web could be clipped into one’s personal account and shared with fellow users. Additionally, a thematic blogger service was developed in order to attract particular brands.
I was asked to audit the Domesticbook’s graphic user interface from a user point of view. In the deliverable, all crucial issues were documented with added suggestions on how to correct or optimise them. Once finalised, we took oof and made all necessary improvements requested.
In the second phase, I finalised the graphic user interface design of a new section within the web application, based on supplied wireframes.
I designed a landing page interface following the guidelines of a collaborating SEO company. We created several options in order to measure which one had the best conversions.
Furthermore, the process of generating new content had to be optimised; so I developed the flow and wireframes for specified forms.

- Graphic user interface audit and writing of the documentation with suggested improvements

About MissPixel
Global entrepreneur
Based in Barcelona and working in the cloud, I love international flavoured collaborations. I’m fluent in English, Spanish, Dutch, German and French, like to travel and am curious about different cultures. Your project can be discussed in your office enjoying a cup of tea or we can set up a Skype call. There's always a way to communicate!
Skills
In 1998, I earned my bachelors in graphic design in Breda, The Netherlands. Just as the internet bubble formed, I moved to Spain and eagerly studied web design and interfaces on my own. Now, I combine design with teaching, as I love to share my knowledge with students and clients alike. A full work history can be found at MissPixel’s Linkedin profile.
Balance
The joy of work is in the balance: organising and taking care of customers in the user experience field, mathematical challenges in HTML coding and composing bright colourful palettes on screen and paper.
These three perspectives harmoniously come together into one goal: making people happy with useful and beautiful designs. Boy, do I love my job!
